FrieslandCampina Romania invests EUR 1.3 mln in a new production line in Cluj Napoca plant
Dairy producer FrieslandCampina Romania has opened a new production line for cheese in Cluj-Napoca following a 1.3 million euro investment. Following this investment, the FrieslandCampina plant in Cluj-Napoca, the production centre of cheese, will triple its output.
The company make constant investment in equipment and technology to improve quality standards, to adapt the production capacity to the market evolution and to increase efficiency and permanent improvement of the products.
“Through this new production line, we support and develop our main brand from the portfolio, Napolact, and deliver a superior and authentic quality product, produced according to traditional recipes, while benefiting from the advantages of a competitive manufacturing process. We will continue to invest in this plant and to optimize the proceses in order to support innovation in our product portfolio”, said Cornel Cărămizaru, the general director of FrieslandCampina Romania
The company has a yearly investments program of over EUR 3 million to enhance production at its plants in Cluj-Napoca and Târgu Mureș and to develop new products under its main brand, Napolact.
FrieslandCampina has recorded a consolidated turnover of 331 million lei in 2016, up 4% compared to the previous year, and returned to profit after the completion of the production operations consolidation and after implementing an extensive investment program for the two factories in Cluj-Napoca and Târgu Mureș. The increase of the volumes of the Napolact brand was based on the orientation of consumers towards products with simple recipes, close to the traditional method and with a high-quality level
FrieslandCampina Romania is part of the Dutch company Royal FrieslandCampina, an organization at the top of the worlds largest dairy producers.
FrieslandCampina is present in Romania with the Napolact, Milli, Oke and Dots brands and offfers a large range of products: milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, powder milk, powder whey and milk based snacks.
The local Napolact brand is in full development, being exclusively made with milk collected from an extensive network of farmers in Ardeal.
